This model is one of the most valuable from Christofle, which in itself means style and quality.
Marly is one of the most elaborately decorated patterns in the collection. The fine chiseling of the asymmetrical plant motifs, typical of the rocaille or Louis XV style, testify to the silversmith's expertise and attention to detail.

The model is named after the Marly Castle, which was built near Paris by Louis XIV as a hunting and summer residence. “Marly” is the most richly ornamented model in the Christofle collection.
