Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Christopher Rush described him as being full of life and someone who truly loved what he did. Rush was an artist for over 100 cards for Magic: The Gathering, but no card is more famous than the Black Lotus. Featured here is the Unfinished Black Lotus. This painting is the last painting Rush was working on before his passing at the age of 50. The true beauty of this painting is not the mere fact that it's a Black Lotus by Rush, but it mirrors his passing, an unfinished painting for an unfinished life. Rush started working on the painting in late November 2015 and passed away on February 10, 2016. The painting is acrylic on a wood panel and has an image area of 18" x 14" with blue tape on the edges for an overall size of 20" x 16". In Excellent condition. Includes COA.
