Condition Report: The work of art is in very good condition. Glass element is not original as it was broken in 1990. Replacement glass was made by Terrence Mahon, who was Wilmarth’s studio assistant, and had been involved with making much of the glass for Wilmarth’s works while the artist was alive. The original pieces of broken glass were used as the prototype. All work was done under the direction/supervision of the Wilmarth Estate (Christopher Wilmarth's widow). Condition reports are rendered as specialist opinion by the staff of the Auction House and/or independent consultants and not as statements of fact. We do not guarantee the content of written or verbal condition reports. The absence of a condition report does not imply that there are no condition issues with the lot.
