Rebound in blue cloth with panels of original cloth laid on to front boards and spines. ********** First edition, first impression with half-title versos blank, second state with typographical error corrected to page 459 of second volume. This was Churchill's second book which chronicled his time with the 21st Lancers through the Battle of Omdurman.
Condition Report: Original cloth spine panels both without lower portions. One folding map with separation along one fold, nearly all maps/portraits with small circular ink-stamp of the Watertown Library, otherwise contents clean. As-is.
