Cinderella Original Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1950). "What's a royal ball? After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull and...and boring, and completely...completely wonderful." Cinderella attempts to convince herself that she wasn't excited and looking forward to going to the Royal Ball while wearing a beautiful dress in this original animation drawing. But all she can dream about is spending one night in a beautiful dress and meeting a man that she can fall in love with who will take her away from her miserable stepmother and stepsisters. The 12th Disney classic animated feature film Cinderella was theatrically released on 3/4/1950 to immense critical reception with sequels and adaptations still being made even after 75 years. The story is based on the French author Charles Perrault's story titled "Cendrillon" which shares many similarities such as the fairy godmother, pumpkin carriage, but the most iconic being the glass slippers. Cinderella's half hand-drawn figure, measuring approximately 3" x 4.25", is rendered in graphite with colored pencils on 16-field 3-peg hole animation paper and can be seen at the 39:39 timestamp of the animated film. The overall condition is Very Good with a couple of noticeable wrinkle, and light handling wear and edge wear, very light age-related toning. From the archives of Disney Legend Manual Gonzales.
