Condition report:
43.5 x 59cm framed
Both paintings are executed in oil on canvas supports which are unlined. Canvas stamps are present on the reverse of the canvas for Winsor and Newton artist suppliers’. The paint layers are in a very good, stable condition. Both paintings have areas of overpaint in the lower corners but not in the area of the signatures. The varnish layers are clear, glossy and even. There is a light layer of surface dirt present across the works creating a slightly mottled appearance in light areas. The glazing of the frames are dirty inside and out.
