In a fully restored condition. Re-lined, cleaned and re-varnished. General retouching to the outer edges. A few more delicate and small patches within the right hand side of the boys hair. With a further small patch at his right hand elbow. Further strengthening to in and around the general outline of the figure and elements of the background. A further small patch at the cuff of his left arm. The surface is somewhat flattened and the paint is thin in places - especially across the background. Surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Fine to medium sized stable craquelure throughout.
