Citroën - SM - 1972

[ translate ]

This 1972 Citroen SM is a 5-Speed manual transmission equipped example which was sold new in France. The car was purchased by a diplomat in Belgium named Monsieur Kantor Albert in the mid-1980s. The car was recently repainted in its original color, Brun Scarabée, and it is in very good condition. Included records consist of the original books and manuals along with numerous services by a Citroën specialist totaling close to € 9000 from the last six years. Though originally registered in France in 1972, the car did not remain there and is no longer equipped with yellow French domestic market high-beams. The lighting is otherwise correct European market specification. The oleopneumatic suspension is shown at several ride heights in the gallery, and is functioning correctly. The interior retains its original radio, steering wheel, and other distinctive SM-specific trim. The brown leather matches the image on the cover of the included original owner’s manual. Light wear on the outer edges of the front seats, and some discoloration is visible in the footwell carpets. All of the interior features work correctly, from the radio to the cold-blowing A/C. The 2. 7L Maserati V6 is unmodified, and is backed by a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car’s original color is still visible on the inner fenders with the hood open. The seller states that the car’s rubber components are in good order, and they have driven the car several hundred kilometers without issue. Recent services include the following: 2021 - Full repaint and mechanical check up (Portugal) 2019 - Full mechanical work (Portugal) March 22, 2017 – Oil change, new oil filter. December 14, 2016 – New battery, washer pump, front suspension gaiter, carb thermostat, antifreeze, heating checked.
