Civil War cartridge box with interior flap stamped 'E.GAYLORD, CHICOPEE, MASS". Box presents small holes on outer flap that have been covered (period) where cartridge box plate would have been placed. Closure strap exhibits break with leather exhibiting dryness and some slight flaking. Provenance: Eugene T.
