Civil War ID Disc-110th Ohio Infantry

Civil War identification disc for Private William Kissinger, Company F, 110th Ohio Infantry. Disc exhibits obverse of portrait of General George McClellan and surrounding text "UNION AND LIBERTY". Reverse exhibits stamped lettering "W. KISSINGER CO. F. 110 REG O.V.I. YORK, PA." Disc is pewter was possibly excavated (dug) and exhibits significant wear. Lettering is still readable. William Kissinger enlisted on September 4, 1862 and was mustered in as a private of Company F, 110th Ohio Infantry on September 4, 1862.
