Civil War Officer's Sword

Civil War Officer's sword measuring 38.5" (blade 32.5"). Ricasso marked HORSTMANN & SONS, Philadelphia" with reverse marked with king's crowned head. Blade exhibits etching and is darkened and graying. Sword housed in simple metal scabbard. Sword presents raised skin grip and leather sword knot. Sword knot was added to sword for display purposes and is of 20th century manufacture. Sword is housed in canvas carrying bag. Provenance: Eugene T.
