Civil War period tintypes of soldiers (4) including; 1.) Tintype in CDV mount of waist up soldier wearing 9-button uniform jacket. Emulsion exhibits some darkness with reverse of carte presenting backmark of Jordan, New London, Connecticut. 2.) Tintype in CDV mount of bust view of soldier wearing 4-button uniform jacket. Reverse of carte presents pencil name of "Frank Keefer". 3.) Tintype in CDV mount of bust view of soldier wearing 9-button uniform jacket. Reverse of carte presents backmark of Mansfield's City Gallery, St. Louis, Missouri. 4.) Sixth plate uncased tintype full length standing soldier wearing 9-button uniform jacket and kepi standing in front of painted backdrop. Tintype exhibits darkening and a lower horizontal bend.
