Clarisse Loxton Peacock, British/Hungarian 1926-2004 - Still Life; oil on canvas, signed lower left 'C Loxton Peacock', 76.3 x 40.5 cm (unframed) (ARR) Provenance: Christie's, London, The Interior Sales, 23rd August 2006, lot 803; private collection Note: Loxton Peacock's work focused primarily on still life compositions and she was greatly influenced by the Italian master Giorgio Morandi. She exhibited successfully from the 1950s, selling works to major museums including the Walker Gallery, Liverpool and San Francisco Museum of Art.
