Jean Baptiste Clesinger (French,1814-1883) French bronze gypsy statue. Beautiful figure of a gypsy woman playing a tambourine. Titled "Zingara". Signed J. Clesinger Rome, 1858 on the tree trunk portion of the bronze and stamped by F. Barbedienne Fondeur, along the bottom rim of the bronze. Statue: 33 in. x 13 in. x 14 in.
