Haring was well-connected with musicians and dance clubs around the world; after meeting the owner of San Francisco's Club DV8, Haring was asked to create a custom mural to hang behind the bar. The five-panel work is a wild odyssey of dragons and other fictional beasts romping and raging through a hot pink forest. Here, Haring creates another dizzying, vibrational design to promote the club. DV8 is credited for establishing house music in San Francisco. After closing in 1997, Haring's murals were removed, and they have since been exhibited around the world.
