Double Hemisphere map of the world with personifciations of the four continents in the corners and Atlas in the middle, showing the knowledge of geography in the late 17th century. Shows California correctly as a peninsula and a rudimentary form of Australia. The binding instructions Tab 4 appears to the top right indicating the publication date of 1697, in later 18th century editions this was changed to Pag. 50. (Shirley)
