Ca. Ø86mm, ca. 455g, brass case, covered with ray skin, rim with sound openings, bell, very fine cylinder movement, excellent quality, 2 barrels for movement and alarm, one barrel wonderfully engraved, fire-gilt plate, signed and numbered 1779, signed original and very well preserved Louis XV enamel dial, back also numbered 1779, probably original hands, iron hand for the alarm. Interesting restoration object: The movement is intact, but needs cleaning. The alarm needs to be overhauled. Glass is missing and the ray skin is incomplete. This is probably a watch by Joseph Silvestre, master in Paris from 1755, employee of Julien Le Roy. The movement is of exceptionally fine quality for a coach clock of this period.
