Coffee pot - Blue and white - Porcelain - China - Kangxi (1662-1722)
A Chinese export coffee pot and cover with silver mounts. China - Kangxi ca. 1700-1720 The pear-shaped ribbed body raised on a short splayed foot, with a C-shaped handle, painted in shades of underglaze blue with an elaborate pattern of butterflies, intricate scrollwork and flowers and insects; the handle with a pattern of leafy scrolls; the cover similarly decorated. The later Dutch silver mounts, engraved with matching patterns, complete with hallmark: . 925 silver and the letter W for the year 1856. Condition: very good condition, only one almost invisible hairline, at the left of the spout, see last photo. Will be packed with great care and shipped with insurance.
