Because Elvis knew that the Colonel did not wear jewelry often, he wanted to buy him something that he knew he would use. The lighter is engraved "THE COLONEL" and was one of the Colonel's favorite pieces that Elvis gave him. This piece was acquired from the Lost Jewelry Collection of Elvis Presley and Col. Tom Parker, which was thought to have been lost for decades. This item, as with the entire Lost Jewelry Collection, has never been offered at auction or to the public.
