Col. Parker's 14K & Diamond "Genius?" Bracelet From Elvis

[ translate ]

Col. Tom Parker's 14K Yellow Gold and Diamond "Genius?" ID Tube Bracelet From Elvis Presley W/Letter From Priscilla Presley - This 14k yellow gold ID tube bracelet was gifted to Colonel Tom Parker from Elvis Presley. Elvis gifted these particular bracelets to those closest to him, including Dave Hebler, Dick Grob, and other members of his "Memphis Mafia". The bracelet is engraved "Colonel" on the front and "Genius?" on the back and also has a diamond accent. This is the only gifted ID bracelet that Elvis ever gave that had a diamond in it. This was because Elvis thought the Colonel's deserved to be different as he was a one-of-a-kind man in Elvis' life. The "Genius?" inscription was a joke to Elvis and a reminder to the Colonel that Elvis had once fired him, letting him know that Elvis either thought he was a genius, or the opposite. Elvis said he wrote that inscription to "Keep the Colonel humble." This bracelet documents Elvis and the Colonel's playful candor and close relationship. This piece was acquired from the Lost Jewelry Collection of Elvis Presley and Col. Tom Parker, which was thought to have been lost for decades. The bracelet was found wrapped in an envelope from Colonel Parker's estate, which is included with the piece. This item, as with the entire Lost Jewelry Collection, has never been offered at auction or to the public. The piece will come with a letter from Ms. Priscilla Presley who has served as an expert consultant on this collection. Measurements: 8.5" length. Please note: The auction house has a financial interest in this lot. Announcements, descriptions, and disclosures can change up until the time the bidding ends on the item. (WEIGHT: 24.1 grams)
