[ translate ]

Col. Tom Parker's 14K Gold and Gold Vermeil Elephant Cufflinks Gifted From Elvis Presley W/Letter From Priscilla Presley - These elephant cufflinks were owned by Colonel Tom Parker, and are slightly different from one another as one is 14k yellow gold with diamond eye and one is gold vermeil. The cufflinks were a gift from Elvis, that represented the Colonel's love for elephants which no doubt came from his carnival days, prior to becoming the manager to one of the biggest entertainers in the world. The Colonel enjoyed remembering that each animal was unique and different as reflected by these one-of-a-kind cufflinks. Colonel Parker is often referred to as "the man who made Elvis Presley," and was a shrewd businessman who carefully orchestrated Elvis' rise to one of the most legendary and commercially successful entertainers of all time with his sharp-witted management style. Elvis and the Colonel had a business relationship and friendship that lasted over 20 years in which Elvis rose to extraordinary fame and continued to rise until his unfortunate passing. This piece was acquired from the Lost Jewelry Collection of Elvis Presley and Col. Tom Parker, which was thought to have been lost for decades. This item, as with the entire Lost Jewelry Collection, has never been offered at auction or to the public. The piece will come with a letter from Ms. Priscilla Presley who has served as an expert consultant on this collection. Please note: The auction house has a financial interest in this lot. Announcements, descriptions, and disclosures can change up until the time the bidding ends on the item. (WEIGHT: 20.1 grams)
