Collection of Chinese archaistic jade ceremonial ornamental pieces: style of Chou / Han dynasty Leaf shaped jade has etched design suggesting cracking ice. The "eyebrow" shaped piece is a symbol of the North, but has several functions; to cover the eye of the dead, to worship the North, etc. Circular disc has stylized chrysanthemum design. Brownish pendant was used by the ancients for decorating the front edge of the rectangular "mortar board" worn by scholars and aristocrats. White dragon is fine nephrite jade. 1"H x 8"W x 3 1/2"D
