Estimate

£3,000 - £5,000

Collection of sixteen original government issue NASA framed photographs - to include Buzz Aldrin, Space Centre, shuttle launch, crash site etc.

The Buzz Aldrin portrait being particularly significant as it displays his Omega Speedmaster watch (the first watch to reach the surface of the moon), Although Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong was first to set foot on the Moon, he left his 105.012 Speedmaster inside the lunar module as a backup, because the LM's electronic timer had malfunctioned.

Further examples include shots taken from inside the Lyndon B Johnson Space Centre, a selection of pre-launch images with one taken during the shuttle launch, mid-flight shots of the shuttle infrastructure and a scenic cloud example, together with a striking aerial view of a shuttle crash sight.

Further examples include views of Gemini 7 taken from Gemini 6 of rendezvous in space (December 15, 1965), Apollo 93 parachute drop, space shot from Palapa B Space Challenger.

A number of examples having official NASA stamp to front or NASA paperwork to verso.

Each photograph being professionally framed in stylish walnut frame with museum quality 99% UV protection glass, frames measure 37.5cm x 33cm (16)
