Nueva Granada 8 Reales 1846 BOGOTA-RS MS63 NGC, Bogota mint, KM98, Elizondo-31, Restrepo-194.15. A superior selection of the type defined by a crisp obverse strike and revealing a standout level of preservation that places the offering at the very peak of NGC's census. The type is typically seen quite crude, yet this representative stands well above the competition in terms of sheer visual quality, its general level of obverse clarity and detail much superior to those which we were able to locate in adjacent (and lesser) grades. The offering is lustrous throughout, possessing a vibrant obverse cartwheel effect, while the reverse displays a gentle olive patina decorating the fields. Ex.
