Colorful Roman Glass Bracelet
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A beautiful and petite bracelet comprised of blue glass with an exterior ring of striped white and yellow, the form of a petite size suggesting that it was created for a slender female or a youth. After the invention of glassmaking, personal adornments were fashioned in man-made glass like this example. A lovely piece either for wearing or intended as a votive offering. Size: 2.25" W (5.7 cm)
