Colt Custom Shop 1981 Signature Special Edition 1911 ACE .22 LR Semi-Auto Pistol in Original Box

Manufactured in 1981, a Colt Custom Shop Signature Special Edition. Full size Colt 1911 ACE, chambered in .22LR, features a 5" barrel with blade front sight and rear adjustable notch. Polished blue and matte finish. Slide is gold etched with scroll banner and Colt factory dome on both sides. The left side of the slide features the image of the Colt factory dome and marked, "1836 Sam Colt 1981 inside a gold etched banner with floral scroll gold etching flanking both sides. Matching right side but stamped, "Colt Ace 22 Long Rifle -Hartford, Ct." in cursive script. Colt Custom Shop coat-of-arms to the rear of the slide serrations on both sides. Custom shop smooth rosewood grips with bronze tone Colt Custom coat-of-arms medallion. Includes factory 10 round magazine, stamped on the bottom "COLT .22L.R." on the base. CALIBER: .22 LR. Condition Report: Retains 98%+ original custom finish. One small grain crack on the bottom of the left side grip. Box is worn: missing one flap and the other is worn off but still included, shows the Colt Custom neon label. Great bore and mechanics.
