Atlas map printed on onionskin and mounted as a pocket map. Within brown embossed cloth covers with title misspelled "Coltons'" [sic] and with Johnson & Browning imprint added. Ornamental borders. Some glue burn. Very rare transitional map between Colton and Johnson. Pocket maps of Southern states in this period are quite rare. This is the only example we have encountered of Alabama.
