Complete skull of Toco Toucan with colourful beak sheath. This is an older specimen, dated c. 2004 and probably female (based on the length of the beak) . The beak displays perfect conformation (no deformities) ; the mandibles are permanently attached but the serrated edge of the beak (which develops with age) is still clearly shown. From private collection. The Toco Toucan is the largest species in the Toucan Family (Ramphastids) and popularly known as the “Guinness” bird. Specimens are rarely offered for sale.
