French Colony. Said Ali Ibn Said Omar silver Proof 5 Francs AH 1308 (1890/1891)-A PR64 NGC, Paris mint, KM3, Dav-9, Lec-10. An exceedingly rare Proof version of this classic low mintage world Crown issue. The watery expanses are significantly reflective, beautifully highlighting the chiseled motifs of the design. The surfaces are mostly untoned, but do exhibit a some appealing peripheral mauve hues. PCGS has only certified a single Proof of this issue (PR63) and NGC has only certified one other besides this offering. A rare and intriguing opportunity indeed.
