Complete Amphibian - Sclerocephalus sp. (45 cm) - 61×30×1.8 cm

A complete specimen of Sclerocephalus. These very early amphibians (Temnospondyls) were large predators in the Permian swamps with body lengths of up to 2m. This specimen shows some detail like the chest armor. This specimen has an overall length of 45 cm. Please note that fossils are found by splitting vast amounts of rocks. This means that most fossils will be glued in some place, most will have a small part chipped away. Professional preparation ensures, that fossils are preserved in a state as close to original as possible. We will deliver every fossil with a Certificate of Authenticity. The fossil will be shipped insured and with tracking number via Colissimo from France. It can of course be collected if preferred.
