Confederate Alteration M1816 Rifle
Confederate alteration m1816 rifle dated "1831" with standard barrel proof marks and a federal eagle stamp on its lockplate. Alteration was likely performed by S.C Robinson of Richmond, Virginia due to its similarity to other examples, but could have been produced by other gunsmiths working in the Confederacy during the war.
