Oil on canvas. Almost life-sized portraits of a middle-aged couple. The man with prominent sideburns in a frock coat, the woman in an extravagant evening gown, holding a fan. Both signed "Freyberg, Berlin 1866" at the bottom right. In matching, lavishly stuccoed and gilt wooden frames (minor flaws). Both inscribed "Bernstein" on the back.
