Consalvo, also know as Gonsalvo Carelli, was a Neapolitan artist and member of a dynasty of Italian landscape painters, which included his father Raffaele, his younger brother Gabriele, and his son Giuseppe. He was celebrated for his evocative landscapes, especially of the Neapolitan coastline, and often populated by populated by figures in traditional dress.
