First half 18th century
The metal thread-woven silk-upholstered oval seat, raised on acanthus- and tassel-carved cabriole legs joined by a shaped X-form stretcher mounted with a flame finial and ending in hoofed feet. Height 20 inches (50.8 cm), width 24 inches (61 cm), depth 18 1/2 inches (47 cm).

Frame later painted and gilded, fair condition, underside now with plywood plank, unable to examine seat rails, old wood worm damage, especially to feet, losses and chips to molded stretcher, triangular finial possibly later, feet once fitted with casters.
