Continental Fruitwood Hurdy-Gurdy (Organistrum), Nineteenth Century. Of guitar shape, the pegbox with scroll terminal, the turned wood wheel (possibly pear wood) driven by a forged crank, wood keybox and keyboard with wood tangents. H: 7 in., W: 22 in. (including crank), D: 9.75 in. A handwritten note was discovered inside the keybox inscribed "Musical Wonder House/ Danilo Konvalinka/ Wiscassett, ME.," with contact numbers. It is unknown whether the instrument came from the museum or was conserved there at some point.
