second quarter 19th century, of oval form and pierced with flowers, leaves and scrollwork, and decorated with molded borders of roses and acanthus leaves; now fitted with stone and wire fruit, mid-20th century, probably Italian.

Condition Report: In overall good condition. Dulling of gilt-patination along with scattered areas of discoloration, areas of rubbing/abrading and some faint oxidation. Appears to be missing handles - openings and supports evident at both sides. Marble fruit with scattered faint scratches, nicks, cracks and losses. All consistent with age, material and usage. Height of bronze basket: 12-1/2"
