This rare vintage Continental 19th century miniature vitrine pocket watch holder is uniquely designed as a nobleman's sedan seat. The exterior is stunningly embellished with repousse spelter panels that are elaborately decorated with colorful scenes of cute cherubs at play. Each panel has a bevelled glass window adding to their overall appearance. An enamel painted handle on the front door opens to reveal a mauve moire' silk interior. The silk has some wear & flaws. The back we all of the sedan seat features a solitary brass hook that will display a prize possession the pocket watch.6 7/8" tall X 3 1/2" wide X 4" deep
