Continental Porcelain Painted Plaque After Rafael. The roundel painted with the central image of the "Madonna of the Chair,"Madonna dela Seggiola" in polychrome enamels. Madonna painted as a stylish Renaissance woman of circa 1515, holding Christ as a toddler, while St. John the Baptist holding the Cross looks on beaming. The back with graphite 197, and 46 in brown enamel, printed mark, possibly for an Italian firm. Probably Florence workship. Circa 1890. 4 5/" diameter, the plaque. Mounted on green silk, and under glass in a gilt wood frame, 8 1/2" square.
