Continental Yellow and Rose Gold Circular Snuff Box, Possibly French, Late Eighteenth-Early Nineteenth Century. The hinged cover and base each inlaid with a yellow gold rope-twist rectangular border, centering a roundel of concentric circles within floral spandrels, the sides surrounded by three long panels within guilloche and demi-flowerhead borders, marked "MMS" beneath a crown on the interior, with some faint numerals, and a control mark (?) on the cover rim. 72.3 g H: .625 in., Diam: 2.625 in.
