Do not miss this opportunity and become the new owner of this unique and rare Cord convertible! This is a NO RESERVE PRICE AUCTION. The Cord Company was founded by Errett Cord in the early 1920s. Trading went very well and by the mid-1920s Errett Cord had bought most of the shares of the loss-making Auburn Automobile Company. After making some changes and saving Auburn from bankruptcy, he wanted to bring a new car to market that would be cheaper than a Duesenberg (which he also owned) , but a class higher than the Auburn brand. The result was the Cord Automobile. After building some of the most beautiful cars in the world with revolutionary designs, The Great Depression takes its toll, Cord and Cord Automobile file for bankruptcy (1937) . With a redesigned body, the Cord was reintroduced in the late 1960s. This time with a lot more horsepower. Cord built the "SAMCO" model at the Tulsa plant (and later the Mannford plant) in 1968. There were two different models: The Warrior and the Royale. The 'Warrior' has a wheelbase of 108 inches and a powerful 383CI Mopar Big Block engine. About 400 cars were built during this three-year period. This makes this Replica Cord Warrior a very rare car, you will not come across a second one any time soon. This Cord Warrior 8/10 is in neat and technically well-maintained condition, the car has nice paintwork (except for some spots of wear, these are to expected after all these years) . The car starts immediately, it brakes properly and shifts smoothly through its gears. The interior is still as new as can be seen in the pictures and the soft-top is in neat condition. This Cord has nice whitewall tyres with good tread. The Cord was owned by 3 collectors during the past 51 years and only stored indoors. These Cord Warrior convertibles are becoming increasingly difficult to find and are rarely offered. So don't wait too long!
