Corpus Christi - Elephant ivory - it. 1700
A large-size Christ made of elephant ivory represented with his head raised to the sky, mouth ajar and eyes open, hair with a median line dangling on the shoulders in wavy strands, veins visible on the arms, legs and feet; perizonium leaving the right leg uncovered; four fingers are missing on the left hand and two phalanges are missing on the fingers of the right hand; parallel legs with the left one slightly bent and juxtaposed feet. Late 17th / early 18th century. Very nice quality of ivory crossed with age lines. Properly fixed on a plexiglass plate - Height from feet to hands: 31 cm. Cites file: FR2105600174-D
