Mid 6th century BC; height cm 16 each; Two black-figured amphoras with everted rim, a short concave neck, ovoid body and two ribbon handles attached vertically between the neck and the shoulder; on the body, a reserved band is decorated with rays, tongues and floral buds; Ex BFA, Auction 36, lot 50; Private collection, London; acquired on the European art market in the 1980s.
