A large ship of the line and a smaller craft sit offshore opposite the palace nestled beneath the barren crags. The palace was the site of the Yalta Conference where the "Big Three" (Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin) met in February 1945 to divide up the postwar world. The print is from Simpson's esteemed work, The Seat of the War in the East. First and Second Series.
Condition Report: Two tiny spots in sky portion; fine condition.
