Sambucus. A letter from Sambucus to his friend Ortelius appears in a cartouche on the bottom right. It was dated 25 October 1572 explaining some corrections. Above the title: 'Illyricum'. In good condition, full page (44 x 57. 5 cm) with full very wide margins, centrefold as issued, verso: description of 'Illyricum' in Latin and page no. '80'. On the back of the centrefold, some brown spots that shine through to the other side.
