Signed and inscribed by Bukowski in silver pen on the page opposite the colophon to bibliophile and Loujon Press patron Edwin Blair: "For Ed Blair - / Each man is / trapped / 40 ways across / but you have a / chance to / deal the ace / if you're / careful, if you / wait, if you / have the nerve. // The only time to / surrender is / when you're / dead. // Charles Bukowski / 5-2-65 / Los Angeles." A wonderful association copy of one of Bukowski's most beautifully presented collections.
Condition Report: Some general wear to wrappers with rubbing to edges and folds, some wear to spine ends with 3" slit at bottom of front spine fold; interior and wraparound band fine or nearly so; overall very good.
