Crystal decanter with etching of tennis match on body and of umpire on stopper, by Zaglo, British, 20th century. Previously in the collection of Albert Ritzenberg, 20th century tennis pro. Signed on base, model 039.
Dimensions are: with stopper -10 1/2 in (26.7 cm) tall X 6 in (15.2 cm) long X 2 1/8 in (5.4 cm) wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: A few surface scratches, small chip in rim.
Provenance: From a Washington, DC collection, received as a gift from Albert Ritzenberg (1918-2018) to the consignor. Ritzenberg was the tennis pro at St. Albans school and amassed the largest private collection of tennis memorabilia in the world which is now at the ITHF museum in Newport Rhode Island.
