Dutch oak pilaster cupboard with four doors, paneled sides on blackened ball feet.
This beautiful piece of furniture from the first half of the 17th century is exceptionally sober yet elegant in detail.
For example, the frieze is simple without carving, but the pilasters are made with flutes, the paneled sides have characteristic 'hatching' in the style and battens at the corners.
The locks work with the original key.
Furniture consists of two parts, has a beautiful, very warm patina of early wax finish. Small early restorations.
Holland, ca. 1640-1660.

Dimensions
H= 201 cm.
W= 127 - 147 cm. (Narrowest - widest part)
D= 56 - 66 cm. (Shallowest - deepest part)

Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of construction and veneer. No living woodworm found on 4/25/2024
