Custom Pre-War Winchester Model 70 Carbine Bolt Action Rifle in 9 m/m Mauser Caliber
Made according to serial number in 1945. Gun has 20" blued Winchester Proof Steel marked barrel with correct stippled ramp front sight and plugged rear boss and standard address markings with "9M/M" hand stamped caliber marking. Barrel is marked on underside "9m/m 41" meaning 1941 production. Barrel has Non-standard 5 groove rifling. Correct black oxide sandblasted bluing with correct cartridge slot and undrilled rear receiver with cloverleaf tang. Receiver is fitted with Lyman 48 peep sight. Correct matching serialized bolt with Pre-War style three position safety. Blued hinged detachable steel floorplate with serrated trigger. Walnut 1941 style 18 line per inch checkered low comb stock with oval grip, steel checkered buttplate and factory bow sling swivels. LOP: 13-3/4". CALIBER/GA: 9 m/m. S/N: 50504. FFL: Curio & Relic.
