Cutlery set - .800 silver
Very extensive set of various table cutlery and tableware.
All parts are 800/1000 silver and marked as such.
This concerns djokja silver, which was and is mainly made in Kotagede, near Yogjakarta in Indonesia.
The silver workshops there have a long tradition and have also worked with orders from Dutch people for a long time.
In the djokja silver there are 3 main motifs: the lotus flower (see candy bowl) , the wayang figure and the (double) peacock (see large letter opener) .
All these motifs appear in this set. Take, for example, the set of long drink spoons/sorbet spoons with 6 by 6 of the motifs mentioned.
Age: mostly between 1920-1950, except those marked Deluxe which are more recent
Length of long drinking spoons: 17. 5 cm
Total weight of the set: 540 grams
Please see the photos carefully for the composition
Condition: good but still needs to be cleaned here and there
