Frame rubbing and associated minor paint loss to the edges, particularly to the left hand side. The paint is thin in places and there are several large areas of emergent craquelure, notably to the black paint lower centre by the legs and along the upper edge. There is also a line of line approx. 13cms long of craquelure in the lower right quadrant, to the right of the legs. Further scattered scuffs and scratches to the paint work throughout and two small protrusions to the canvas centre right and left. Ultraviolet light reveals some area of paint flourescing but this would seem to be a result of an uneven varnish rather than restoration. Condition Report Disclaimer
